NOTD: Banana chocolate ice-cream

Today's NOTD is food inspired. Not very surprising since I love food so much!
I think I just might plan my next couple manicures for this whole week to be inspired by my favorite food!

I absolutely love banana chocolate (or chocolate banana?) ice cream. The best version I have tasted so far (but then again I have never tried a whole lot of different banana chocolate ice cream... hmm) is from none other than Ben and Jerry's. My favorite ice cream place, ever.

Naturally, I painted in the signature clouds that was on the tub, and the rest express the contents.

The pale yellow represents the base, other yellow suggests the banana pieces in the ice cream, light brown the walnuts and the pinky finger dark brown represents the chocolate.

I expected to come up with something more interesting... but I just decided to go with something way simpler in the end. :)

Nevertheless, I hope it wasn't too boring. Here are the polishes that were on:

The index finger yellow was mixed by myself, though Orly Lemonade is similar, but darker. :)

My pictures of Frostbite is highly inaccurate, I'm afraid. :(
It is darker in real life. My photoshop is down.. so I guess this is all I have for the moment.
Sorry guys!

NOTD: OPI Fair Dinkum Pinkum

A couple of days ago I had an interview, so whenever I have them I try not to have crazy colours on my nails as according to most people, it's not "professional". :(
Although I had this colour in my stash for couple of months I have not tried it yet, as I usually prefer brighter and more fun colours! I do like the occasional plainer colours when I feel like taking a break, which is why I picked up this at a 'dusty' I came across.

OPI Fair Dinkum Pinkum isn't a peachy nude as I thought, it took me by surprise when I applied it and found it to be more of a pink and as I stare at the colour it reminds me of strawberry ice cream! Hmm...

Images from here: x x

Now isn't that delightful! If you look carefully, there are tiny silver flakes present, which is what I really like about it as well! That really keeps it interesting!

Flakes seen from the bottle:

Application wise, this was not in my favour. Perhaps it was the way I did it, as I had streaks on a few nails, while on others when I tried to be more careful, I didn't. Those that I didn't have any streaks on, I had quite a lot of paint on the brush and lightly paint on my nail instead. So if any of you have troubles with streaks with this colour, you could try that method!

This was from the Australia collection a few years back, but if you ever came across it, pick it up because it's such a charming colour that is perfectly work-safe! I hope you enjoyed this colour as much as I did, and have a great weekend! :)

My nails through instagram

I have been REALLY wanting to update this space for such a long time, but school has been taking up all my time even to the point where I had on chipped polish for months and, oh dear lord, they have just been so neglected.

Anyhoo, here are the occasional snaps of my nails through the beloved filtered app.

Yepppp that is all. Sadly.
I should also mention my camera is missing... the iPhone camera should come in handy about now.
To end this post, here are some cupcakes. Everybody love cupcakes.

Have a swell evening!
